Survivors include his sons Todd (Shereen) Callen and Ryan (Jillian Zierk) Callen, and grandchildren Ty, Mandalyn and Ava. He is also survived by other relatives and friends. Mic was preceded in death by his beloved wife Diane (dec March 14, 2020) along with his parents.

Due to the pandemic a funeral for Diane had to be postponed. On Saturday April 11, 2026, at 10:30 AM, a Mass of Christian Burial for both Mic and Diane will be celebrated at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church-South, N44W6055 Hamilton Road in Cedarburg. After attending St. Nicholas Grade School Mic enrolled at Dominican High School in Whitefish Bay. At Dominican he was an outstanding athlete in multiple sports. He was inducted into Dominican's Athletic Hall of Fame for his accomplishments. After high school Mic moved on to Milton College where he continued his athletic pursuits while earning a B.A. Degree in P.E. and Sociology. After graduation Mic served as the Director of Physical Education at St. Robert's Grade School in Shorewood for 37 years. Despite not serving in the Military, Mic became a dedicated volunteer for the Peter Wollner American Legion Post in Cedarburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Legion are appreciated.
