Veterans are special people who have sacrificed a lot to serve the country well. The American flag is a huge symbol for your loved one and they honored their country with service and now, you want to honor them. The American flag can be flown at half staff on a pole nearby their grave, perhaps. You could drape a flag over their casket. Or you can place small flags in the ground around the funeral home or cemetery to honor them.

Any veteran is entitled to have honor guard on site during their final services. These individual’s can play taps for you, fold the flag and hand it to the next of kin, and even do a gun salute. This type of honor can be very special for everyone involved and is definitely something to consider.
