Mrs. Zita L. Kurcz of Port Washington passed away Saturday morning March 2 2013 at Aurora VNA Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa. She was 81 years old. Zita was born September 20 1931 in Watertown the daughter of William and Mary Robb. After graduating high school from Holy Angels Academy in 1949 Zita proudly served in the Civil Service. On May 17 1958 she was united in marriage with John Kurcz in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death in 2009. Zita was a member of St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church in Port Washington. She had also been involved with the Port Washington Women's Club the Port Washington Senior Center the Bridge Club the local Homemakers and was a Meals on Wheels volunteer. She enjoyed bingo cards swimming and golfing. Zita is survived by her children: Mark (Mary) of Sussex Robert (Barbara) of Campbellsport Kimberly (Jeffrey) Kitral of Mukwonago and Karen (William) Schweda of West Bend. She is further survived by grandchildren: Melissa (Trevor) John Christina Collin Alex Dylan Ian and Emma great-grandson Tuscan sister Frances Scherff of Cedarburg sisters-in-law Mary (Frank) Udron of Nebraska and Kathy Kurcz of Arkansas nieces nephews other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7PM on Thursday March 7 at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church 1800 N. Wisconsin Ave. in Port Washington. She will be entombed at St. Mary's Cemetery Port Washington beside her husband. The family will receive visitors at the church on Thursday from 4-7PM. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested.
