Obituary

Wyatt Gordon Franke, cherished son of Justin and Michelle Franke, passed away in his parents' arms at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in Wauwatosa on April 6, 2021. Wyatt and his brother Levi were born at Ascension Columbia-St. Mary's Hospital Milwaukee on March 2, 2021 at 25 weeks and 2 days gestation. Wyatt was so brave and such a fighter. He overcame numerous obstacles in miraculous ways and touched so many lives in his brief but treasured 35 days on this earth. He loved engaging and being with his parents each day of his life. They'll never forget his beautiful eyes gazing back at theirs, his smile that warmed their hearts so deep, stroking his hair so soft and fine, his tiny hands holding their hands right back, him hugging and snuggling them being so at peace. He was such a good listener through endless story-time book readings and smiled so much whenever his parents talked about his family, home, and the future plans of so much fun and adventure. But Wyatt knew when it was time to leave his family and that it would be more painful for them than for him. On his final day, he waited for his mommy to arrive by his side, looked into her eyes and smiled, and gently passed into God's arms. This tiny, but mighty Angel was called back to heaven that day. Wyatt will forever be within his parents' hearts and is forever their Sweet Angel Baby. Where ever they go, whatever they do, Wyatt will be flying right beside them too. Wyatt was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his mommy and daddy, twin brother Levi, big brother Travis and big sister Audrey, grandparents Cynthia & Thomas Franke of Saukville, Rachel & Thomas Gahan, Jr. of Dundee, and great-grandmother Barbara Franke of Mequon. He is further survived by aunt Jorden (Jeff) Spencer of Waukesha, uncles Nathan Franke of Port Washington and Thomas (Darcy) Gahan III of Belgium, cousins Mia and Layla Gahan, and countless other extended family and friends who loved him very much. He is preceded in death by great-grandparents Gordon Franke, Gertrude & Kenneth Heldt, Betty & Robert Ewig, and Sachiko & Thomas Gahan. The family will receive visitors at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington on Thursday, April 22nd from 5-7PM with a Memorial Service following at 7PM. Rev. Dr. Scott McLeod will preside the service. Memorials are suggested to Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep (NILMDTS), a non-profit organization. NILMDTS aims to offer every family experiencing the death of a baby the healing powers of remembrance through photography. Please consider a donation to help continue their mission to provide this complimentary gift to other families. https://www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org Online condolences may be left at www.eernissefuneralhome.com
