Winifred "Winnie" Sue Ansay (nee Dumann), age 68, of Belgium, passed away on November 2, 2015 at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton.
Winnie was born in Port Washington on March 7, 1947, the daughter of Wilmer and Catherine (nee Mingaye) Dumann. She graduated from Port Washington High School in 1965 and continued on to receive an LPN Nursing License from Milwaukee County General Nursing School.
Winnie was married to John G. Ansay on August 5, 1967. They celebrated 48 years of marriage this year.
Winnie worked as an LPN Nurse and Drug Counselor for many years. She was a voracious reader, reading several thousand books, was actively involved with her deep faith in Christ and guided numerous Friendship Bible Coffees, Women's Bible Studies and Vacation Bible Schools. Winifred was a wonderful cook and baker, and enjoyed vacationing with family, traveling to Hawaii, Florida, Maine and Arizona.
Winnie is survived by her caring husband John G. Ansay and their children John J. Ansay of Port Washington, Elizabeth E. (Thomas) Wilson of Jackson, TN and David (Debra) Ansay of Port Washington. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Allison Ansay, and Kaitie and Jacob Wilson, her brother Bruce (Deb) Dumann, her niece Amanda (Bryan) Wolf and countless other family and friends.
Winifred is preceded in death by her parents Wilmer "Jim" Dumann and Catherine E. (nee Mingaye) Dumann of Port Washington, WI.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 6PM at Friedens Evangelical Church, 454 N. Milwaukee Street, Port Washington with Pastor Brandon Lemons officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Wisconsin Golden Retriever Rescue. Winifred will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery, Port Washington.
