Obituary

Wilmer W. Mixdorf Mix Wilmer Mixdorf age 87 years of Cedarburg died Wednesday January 10 2007 at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Mequon. He was born October 26 1919 in Cedarburg son of Harry and Viola Schultz Mixdorf. On March 19 1944 he married Anne R. McGuire in Jersey City NJ. Wilmer served in the Army Signal Corps 1942-1944 G 2 Intelligence 1944-1946 and was discharged as a 1st Lt. He served as office manager for Federal Foods in Thiensville Ross-Wells Inc. in Mequon and Beatrice Foods retiring August 1 1982. He was a life-long member of First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg Cedarburg Volunteer Fire Dept. from 1941-2007 Cedarburg Emergency Government where he served as director for fifteen years Peter Wollner American Legion Post 288 election inspector for the City of Cedarburg volunteer ambulance driver and Cedarburg Fire Department Rescue Squad He was very active in the former Mercury Thunderbolts Drum and Bugle Corps and former president of the now disbanded Cedarburg Music Parents. Survivors include his wife Anne three children Anne-Marie (Orville) Gierach of West Bend Gail (Morris) Hes of Richardson TX and Randy (the late Susan) Mixdorf of West Bend five grandchildren Douglas (Amanda) Heather Matthew and Jeremy Hes all of Texas and Niccole Becker of West Bend his stepmother Gertrude Mixdorf of Cedarburg one brother Wayne (Susan) Mixdorf of Oregon WI two stepbrothers Ronald (Diane) Butt of Muskego and Richard (Karen) Butt of Nashotah his godson Scott A. Jaeger of Elgin IL sister Marion (Dennis) Gross of Grafton one sister in law Mary Eileen (Bill) McArdle of NJ nieces nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents parents in law James J. and Agnes McGuire and stepbrother Harvey Butt. Funeral Sunday Jan. 14 5:30 PM at First Immanuel Lutheran Church Cedarburg. Burial with full military honors will be Monday at Zur Ruhe Cemetery Cedarburg. Visitation at the Church Sunday from 3-5:30 PM.
