WILMER Bill G. DEPIES Mr. Bill Depies formerly of Dacada passed away unexpectedly Monday evening March 17 2014 at Gables on the Pond in Random Lake where he had resided for the last 10 months. He was 83 years old. Wilmer was born on the family farm in the Town of Fredonia on January 15 1931 son of George and Mary Leider Depies. He attended local schools and graduated from Random Lake High School. Bill proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. Mr. Depies was united in marriage with Jean Sinnen Wetor on November 24 1962 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Dacada. The couple settled in the Town of Sherman. She preceded him in death in 2011. Bill worked at Schmitz Ready-Mix in Port Washington for many years. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish St. Nicholas Chapel and the Belgium American Legion Post 412. He enjoyed the fellowship and camaraderie of the Legion and helping at Camp American Legion. Bill was an avid putzer who could often be found in his large workshop working on various projects. He could fix anything. Mr. Depies is survived by his step daughters Linda (Wilmer Willy) Wetor of Random Lake and Joyce (Gerald) Schommer of Cleveland and 6 grandchildren: Karen (Rick) Basinger Wayne (fianc Kaye Lammers) Vorwerk Susan (David) Risch Scott (Gina) Schommer Leah (Steve) Federwisch and Lisa (Andy) Dexheimmer. He is further survived by 12 great-grandchildren: Jessica Tiffany Joey Jordan Basinger Madeline Rasco Tyler Claire Schommer Aaron Federwisch Emma Eddie Owen and Isaac Dexheimmer 2 sisters: Valeria Bittner of Port Washington and Rita (Michael) Hubacek of Plymouth brother-in-laws Wilfred Heinen of Port Washington and Raymond Sinnen of Cedar Grove sisters-in-law Joan Depies of Fredonia Carol Depies of Random Lake and June Gionet of Port Washington nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Jean step-son Dale R. Wetor sister Ursula Heinen and brothers Jerome and Arnold Depies. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6PM on Friday March 21 at Our Lady of The Lakes St. Nicholas Chapel Dacada. Father Jim Ernster will preside. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Friday from 3:30 - 5:30PM. Bill will be laid to rest beside his wife in St. Nicholas Cemetery at a later date.
