William C. Wetzel Sr.
William "Bill" Wetzel Sr., of Port Washington, formerly of Grafton, passed away in the evening hours of Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Muskego Health Care Center in Muskego. He was 74 years old. Bill was born in Milwaukee on March 3, 1941, son of William Wetzel and Edna Binder Wetzel. After high school, Bill served his country in the US Army. On August 25, 1966 he married Mabel Ann Sevarence in Milwaukee. He preceded him in death in 1996. Bill worked as a union carpenter for over 20 years for Carpenter Local 2283. He also worked part time for the Milwaukee Journal and A. Fillinger Ace Hardware for many years. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Grafton and the Ozaukee County Bowling Association. Bill loved to bowl, bowling in leagues 3 to 4 nights a week. He also enjoyed doing puzzle books and crossword puzzles. Bill loved dogs, and always had one for a pet. He is survived by his three children William (Dawn) Wetzel Jr. of Port Washington, Thomas Wetzel of the state of Oregon and Christine (Sean) Isaacson of Sheboygan. He is further survived by five grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 29th, 6 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington. Pastor Mark Wagner of Our Savior Lutheran Church will preside over the service. Bill will be laid to rest with military honors in Woodlawn Cemetery in Grafton. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 29th at the funeral home from 4-6 PM. The Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington is honored to serve the family.
