Mr. Bill Parnitzke of Waubeka went home!! He spent his last three years at Lasata Care Center, before being called home by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Bill was 94 years old. William was born in Saukville on March 18, 1927, son of Carl and Augusta Lubahn Parnitzke. He attended local schools before joining the US Army. Bill proudly served in Korea until he was honorably discharged in 1956. On September 30, 1961, Bill was united in marriage with Irene Tippner at Temple Baptist Church in Milwaukee. The couple was blessed with one son, Albert. Mr. Parnitzke worked as a maintenance mechanic and welder at Charter Steel in Saukville before retiring in 1993. He was a longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church in Fredonia, the Saukville American Legion Post 470, the Fredonia Senior Center and the Flag Day Foundation. Bill had a strong affinity for planting trees and loved a good game of sheepshead. He was a devoted father to Albert. His gentle ways and kind spirit will be missed by those who knew him. Those left to honor his memory include his son Albert of Port Washington, nieces, nephews, and special friends Don & Cookie Gruell of Fredonia. Bill was preceded in death by his wife Irene, brother Robert, and sisters Hilda Heilgendorf, Anna Schmidt and Ida Koehler. Funeral Services will be held at 11AM on Friday, May 7th at St. John Lutheran Church, 824 Fredonia Ave, Fredonia. Rev. Marshal Frisque will preside.
