Obituary

William Lewis Johann of Port Washington passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at the age of 19. He was born to James and Kira (nee del Giudice) Johann in Milwaukee on December 2, 1999. William could be described as a gifted student and a kind and gentle young man. He was a 2018 graduate of Port Washington High School. He enjoyed downhill skiing with his Dad, bicycling, reading science fiction novels, Agatha Christie mysteries, Calvin & Hobbes comic books, listening to NPR's "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" on the radio, cooking and baking with his Mom, and gaming with many friends on-line. William loved animals - all creatures great and small- especially Sebastian the family miniature dachshund. He had a wry sense of humor and keen wit. His infectious laugh was guaranteed to brighten your day. William was fortunate in his short life, to have traveled to many parts of the US on visits to relatives and family friends on road trips for spring and summer breaks, camping in more than a dozen National and state parks. While at Port High he was an honor student, a member of the freshman golf team, summer marching band, concert band, math team, Spanish club, ski club and a community volunteer as part of the Port Pride program. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. William leaves behind his parents, Jim and Kira Johann and his brother Dylan Johann all of Port Washington; his paternal grandfather, Albert (Jack) Johann of Thiensville and his maternal grandmother, Eileen del Giudice of Bradenton, FL. He is also survived by aunt and uncles, Linda (Dan) Rindfleisch of Brown Deer, Shari (John) Reimer of Cedarburg, Michael del Giudice of Menlo Park, CA, and Francesca (Frank) Hauser of Marietta, GA, cousins, other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Margaret Johann, his grandfather, Joseph del Giudice and his uncle Guy del Giudice. A Memorial Service will be held at 6PM on Thursday, April 25, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 420 W. Whitefish Rd., Port Washington. Pastor Kelly Nieman- Anderson will preside. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Thursday from 4-6PM. If desired, memorials in William's name are suggested to Tailwaggers 911 in Grafton. The Eernisse Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements; online condolences may be left at www.eernissefuneralhome.com .
