Obituary

William E. Joseph (Bill) age 78 passed away Saturday October 5 2013. Bill was born December 23 1934 in Dayton OH the son of Ralph V. and Helen P. (King) Joseph. Bill is preceded in death by his beloved wife Nancy (Barr) Joseph his son William (Billy) and his brother Ralph (Joe). Bill is survived by his children Leslie (Joseph) Lippe her husband Jim and their children Katie and Joe of Fredonia WI; Kirk Joseph and his wife Barbara of South Milwaukee WI; Mark Joseph his wife Marianella and their children Anthony and Alex of Manor TX. Despite being born in Ohio Bill bled Maize and Blue. Bill was a fan of all Michigan athletics but had a special love for Michigan Football and the Detroit Red Wings. Bill loved growing up in Ann Arbor and graduated from University High School in 1953. After serving in the Army in Germany from 1954-56 Bill attended the University of Michigan. Bill and Nancy were married in 1961 and enjoyed nearly 35 years of marriage before Nancy passed in 1996. Bill was a strong believer in being involved in school and community and served as PTR President Cub Scout Leader and chair of multiple fundraisers and improvement projects. Bill passed his spirit of involvement down to his children. Bill moved to Wisconsin later in life to be closer to his children and grandchildren. This was a wonderful chapter in Bill's life as he renewed his love of golf and enjoyed working at Hawthorne Hills Golf Course for many years. Bill also made many great friends working for Port Washington State Bank for over 10 years. Bill's family would like to acknowledge and give thanks to his special friend Debbie Potter. Debbie was a wonderful friend to Bill and filled his last years with companionship and joy. Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 9 2013 at Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington from 5:00-7:00 followed by a Memorial Service at 7:00PM. Deacon Gerald Mauleg will preside.
