Former long time Cedarburg resident Bill Stoll passed away in Janesville, WI on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at the age of 94.
Bill was born in Milwaukee, WI on January 28,1930 the son of William and Eva (nee Carl) Stoll. After graduating from Boy's Technical and Trade High School, he enrolled in the Wisconsin Teachers College (now UW-Milwaukee). Bill began working as a carpenter for the Milwaukee Public Schools in their Physical Plant Division. A job he retired from after 37 years of service. On April 4,1970 Bill was united in marriage to Jean Kasten at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg.
He was also the owner of Prototype Models for Industry for over 40 years. Bill created prototype models for many of Wisconsin's icon businesses, including Harley Davidson and Brooks Stevens. Bill's knack for fixing things led him to start another business called Time Keeper Clock Repair.
Bill was a 30+ year Honorary Member of the Cedarburg Fire Department. He took great pride in helping the CFD in its mission to serve the Cedarburg Community. He was also a member of the Ozaukee Lodge #17 F. & A.M, Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg and First Lutheran Church in Janesville.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Jean Stoll of Janesville; daughter Jennifer Stoll of Janesville; grandchildren Heidi, Noah and Elana, along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Eva Stoll, and his first wife Carol Messing who passed away in 1965 at the age of 33.
Funeral Service 12:00 PM on Saturday October 5, 2024, at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave in Cedarburg.
Pastor Michael Mueller presiding. Prior to the Service there will be a walk-through by the Cedarburg Fire Department. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM-11:45 AM, and at a reception to be held in the funeral homes Community Room following the Service. Burial will take place at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg.
