Obituary

William "Bill" E. Boyd of Saukville passed away peacefully in the early hours of Friday, May 9, 2025 at the age of 85. He was born the beloved son of Sampson and Grace Boyd in Monroe, WI on May 15, 1939. He married Nancy Coffel (1940-1997) on April 11, 1964 and together raised two children. Bill later married Sherry Bochert, and they rescued many fur babies together.

During his marriage to Sherry, the couple enjoyed many adventures together including participating in and attending many car shows with his MG sports car and award-winning Corvette. Bill took pride in working on and polishing his cars until they shined like glass.

He retired from Ryerson Company after many years of dedicated service. Bill's favorite local spots were Wayne's Drive-in located in Cedarburg and Flipside in Grafton. His stepdaughters even had a sweatshirt made for him that said "I'm a regular at Flipside."

Bill enjoyed rooting for the Packer's and Wisconsin Badger's football teams. Alternating sports attire based on the game day.

Bill's memory will be cherished by his wife Sherry, his children Scott (Sherry) Boyd and Elizabeth Nemetz; stepdaughters Michelle (Rob) Balmer and Melissa (Mike) Oehme; sister Barbara Reinke; many adored grand and great-grandchildren and of course his fur baby Lilly. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Nancy Boyd, brother-in-law David Reinke and 4 fur babies to meet him at the "Rainbow Bridge".

Bill's wishes were to have no formal service. He would like to be remembered by his kindness and jovial spirit in hopes that you will pay it forward.
