IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Wendy Kay
Trost
September 24, 1944 – December 9, 2025
Saying goodbye is never easy, but our hearts are at peace knowing you are finally at peace, Mom. On Tuesday, December 9th, 2025, our mother, grandmother, and friend, Wendy Kay (Stauff) Trost, passed away peacefully.
Mom lived life to the fullest. She had a deep connection to her family. She loved animals, gardening, cooking, decorating, walking, reading, and taking rides on the pontoon boat. She enjoyed the outdoors no matter the season. She always had a smile or a laugh. Mom was also a best friend. She was always here for us in good times and the most difficult times. She was strong, steady, kind, and honest. Dementia may have stolen her mind but not her heart and our steadfast love for her. Until her passing, she faced each challenge with the same grace and dignity that marked her life- surrounded by the love of those who held her dear. We will continue to hold her love in our hearts and live our lives as she taught us.
"If there ever comes a day and we can't be together, keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever." -A.A. Milne
Wendy is survived by her two children, Bradley D. Hume (Laura Hunt Hume) and Kimberly K. Flanders (Alan Flanders), her two stepchildren, Jennifer A. Glodowski (Craig Glodowski) and Ryan J. Trost (Jennifer Trost), her seven grandchildren, Huxley Hume and Alexandra Yungblut, Taylor Mueller (Nicholas Mueller) and Travis Jacob (Leanna Faller), Payton Glodowski, Reagan and Riley Trost.
Wendy was preceded in death by her husband, Michael H. Trost (d.2011), Robert F. Hume, Jr. (d.1999) and her parents, Walter and Jean Stauff.
