Wendy Lee Lybek (Handel) of Belgium, WI passed away peacefully in her home with her family at her side on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at the age of 56 after a 15 year battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was born on September 19, 1967, beloved daughter of Arnold and Deanna (Bergmann) Handel. Wendy married the true love of her life Robert "Bob" Lybek in 2001 and together they raised their two beautiful daughters.

Wendy graduated from James Madison High School in Milwaukee in 1985. She truly took pleasure in working at Ansay Insurance and was there for over 30 years. Wendy enjoyed reading, shopping and absolutely loved to dance. Above all, her most cherished time was with her family, friends and adored granddaughter Paislee.

She leaves behind her devoted husband Bob Lybek, loving daughters Jessica and Alyssa Lybek and precious granddaughter Paislee. Wendy is further survived by her siblings Jeff (Tracie) Handel, Todd (John) Handel; Sister-in-laws Shirley Brookman, Sharon Lybek, Debbie DeAngelis, Joann Lybek; brother-in laws Larry Wehrman and Floyd Kinnenuen, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, her camping family, and other relatives and friends.

Wendy was preceded in death by her parents, sister Melody Wehrman, both her and Bob's grandparents, Bob's parents, and aunts and uncles.
