Wayne H. Becker, of Grafton, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton, surrounded by his family and friends. He was 75 years old.

He was born February 21, 1948 to the late Lawrence and Elaine (Loppnow) Becker in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. Wayne graduated from Cedarburg High School with the class of 1966. After high school he joined the United States Air Force. After a few years he then transferred to the United States Navy until his military retirement. He proudly served his country for 20 years with assignments in Japan and Stuttgart, Germany. He worked at American Appraisal until his retirement. After his retirement he drove school bus for the Cedarburg school district.

Wayne met his wife Gail Betzhold on a blind date arranged by his cousin. They were united in marriage on October 11, 1982, they spent over 40 years together. The two enjoyed raising, breeding, and showing Maine Coons and later adding, Somali cat breeds for a number of years. They traveled to many cat shows all over.

He always had a knack of finding the road less traveled. Always finding new paths to familiar locations. One of Waynes favorite hobbies was to go to Buffalo Wild Wings to play trivia games. When he wasn't traveling or playing trivia games you could find him watching his favorite detective shows.

He will be remembered by his loving wife Gail Becker; his son Matthew (Dawn) Disher and his daughter Megan (Travis) Melville; grandchildren: Victoria, Spencer, Cole, Lianna, Loralei, and Audrey, his brother Jim (Edith) Becker, along with many nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents.

The family will greet friends and relatives on Monday, August 28, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Eernisse Funeral Home , 1167 Washington Ave, Cedarburg, with military honors to follow.
