Wanda M. Holder
Wanda Holder, of Grafton, passed away unexpectedly in the morning hours of Thursday, October 29, 2015 at her residence. She was 93 years old. Wanda was born in Francisco, IN, on May 16, 1922, daughter of Joseph Vickers and Mary Lewis Vickers. She grew up in the Francisco area, learning how to square dance at an early age. On March 17, 1946 she married Delbert Holder in Owensboro, KY. In the 1950's the couple moved their young family to Grafton. Wanda worked in the stock room at Sprague Electric in Grafton, retiring in 1985. She was very active in the Grafton Senior Center. She loved to perform with the Silver Bells Dance Team, doing exercise classes, playing shuffleboard and bocce ball. Wanda was also a member of the Red Hat Society, and also enjoyed bowling and doing needle point. Wanda is survived by her two daughters Debbie Hahn and Joyce (Dean) Longley both of Grafton. She is further survived by three grandchildren: Mitchell (Fiancé Nikki) Longley of Menomonee Falls, Nick (Fiancé Amanda) Longley of Grafton and Chelsea Hahn of Saukville, one brother Larry (Eve) Vickers of Mt. Carmel, IL, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Delbert, two sons Randy and James, four brothers Bill, John, Lewis and Jack Vickers and two sisters Joanne and Kate. Funeral services for Wanda will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 4th at 6:30 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave, Cedarburg. Rev. Dr. Ed Rafferty of Cedar Creek Community Church will preside. She will be laid to rest next to her husband and son in Woodlawn Cemetery in Grafton. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 4th at the Funeral Home from 4:30-6:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the charity of donor's choice.
