Born to Eternal Life on Saturday December 20, 2025 at the age of 89. Walter Joseph Kwiatek Jr. was born in South Bend, Indiana on October 5, 1936, the son of Walter and Clara (nee Giszewski) Kwiatek Sr. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in South Bend. He came to Milwaukee as a member of the US Army when he was assigned to the Nike Missile Site on the City's near northside. Wally was united in Holy Matrimony to Arline Papelbon at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Milwaukee on October 4, 1958.
Wally loved his family dearly and put them first always thinking of others. He was an amazing husband, father, big brother, uncle and godfather. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years Arline; loving daughters Karen (Mike) Fons and Susan (Greg) Rabe; dear sisters Joan (the late Jack) Kaizer, Betty Ann (Frank) Johnson and Diane Kwiatek, along with many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Wally worked for Kohl's Food Stores as a Meat cutter and retired with 38 years of service. He was a proud member the United Food & Commercial Workers Union (UFCW) Local 1473. He enjoyed numerous cross country trips with his family. Wally was skilled at working on his cars and numerous home projects. He was also an avid bowler and enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino. Wally enjoyed watching all sports, rooting for the State of Wisconsin's professional and collegiate teams in addition to his hometown "Fighting Irish", the University of Notre Dame.
