Mrs. Virginia Laabs age 89 years of Port Washington formerly of Mequon died peacefully Sunday evening December 10 2006 at Heritage Nursing Home in Port Washington. She was born July 19 1917 in Sheboygan daughter of Josephine Friemuth and Edward Dick. On May 4 1941 she married George Laabs in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death in 1985. Mrs. Laabs was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington and enjoyed reading playing the piano and just being a mom. She is survived by eight children Jim (Jane) Bauer of Wales Bruce (Donna) Laabs of Port Washington Phyllis Roundtree of Adell Christine Kraft of North Fort Meyers FL Barbara (Peter) LaBudde of Richfield James Laabs of Edgewater FL Julie (Matthew) Laabs-Davis of Milwaukee and Jacqueline (Larry) Tursi of Tubac AZ 15 grandchildren 12 great grandchildren and three brothers Donald (Nancy) Brzezinski and Richard (Anna) Brzezinski both of Milwaukee and Jack (Carol) Brzezinski of Fond du Lac. She was preceded in death by two daughters Georgianna and Patricia and one brother Frank. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday evening Dec. 15 7 PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington. Burial at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Milwaukee. Visitation at the Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington Friday from 4-6:30 PM.
