Mrs. Violet J. Bares nbsp; Mrs. Violet Bares a longtime resident of Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Port Washington passed away Tuesday December 28 2010. She was 76 years old. Violet was born February 26 1934 in Cedarburg Wisconsin. On December 10 1952 she was united in marriage with Walter Bares in Holy Cross. He preceded her in death in 1995. Violet helped on the family owned farm Wayside Dairy. She was an Elvis Presley fan and enjoyed watching television. Violet is survived by two daughters Bonnie (Ronnie) Streff of Fredonia and Debra (Ed) Karrels of Port Washington eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is further survived by her son-in-law Merlin Depies of Random Lake one sister Lucille Matter of Cedarburg nieces nephews other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Walter and her daughter Sandra Depies. Funeral Services will be held at 5PM on Monday January 3 2011 at Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Ave. in Port Washington with Father James Ernster officiating. She will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Belgium. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday afternoon from 4-5PM. The Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
