Victor "Vic" J. DiCristo 1935 - 2026
Longtime Cedarburg resident Victor “Vic” Joseph DiCristo, adored Dad and Grandpa, passed away peacefully on Monday April 6, 2026, at the age of 91. The smile, blue eyes, incredible generosity, loving heart, creative mind, humor, and God-given talents that were this sweet, sweet man will be forever missed.
Victor, a graphic artist and musician, was born in Milwaukee on January 12, 1935, the son of Joseph and Dorothy (nee Lotze) DiCristo. Though he was an only child, he grew up in a large Italian family of uncles, aunts and cousins. After graduating from Boys Tech he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Vic married the love of his life, Fay Spella, on August 19, 1961.
His love of art bore a successful career as a graphic artist and art director. He frequently partnered with other incredibly talented artists and enjoyed freelancing on his own. His love of music, playing the drums or stand-up bass, could be seen at various “gigs” around Cedarburg and Milwaukee.
Vic received many awards and recognition over his long career for his creativity as a graphic designer, and for his active dedication to Cedarburg and St. Francis Borgia Catholic Parish, which began shortly after he and his wife Fay moved here in 1968 to raise their four children. His work spanned the City of Cedarburg, the Planning Commission, Design Review Board, Cedarburg Cultural Center, Cedarburg Performing Arts Center, Cedarburg Junior Women’s Club, Illustrators and Designers Club of Milwaukee, countless charitable organizations, and more.
Victor spent his entire life sharing his time and gifted talents across his profession, his community, and the church. It’s impossible to navigate Cedarburg and Milwaukee, or entities nationwide without seeing the imprint he leaves behind with his logos, corporate identities, calligraphy and artwork. His work will be evident for decades to come.
He was beloved by all who knew him and will be remembered as a brilliantly talented kind gentleman.
He is survived by his children Gina (Michael) DiCristo-Neuner, Michael (Michelle) DiCristo, Deanna (Jeffrey) Jackson and Steve (Amy) DiCristo; grandchildren Michael (McKenzie) Neuner, Charles Neuner, Chad (Cemantha) DiCristo, Ryan DiCristo, Jay (Nicole) Luckow, Maxwell Jackson and Elena Jackson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, friends, and countless fellow musicians and artists. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Fay and his parents Joseph and Dorothy DiCristo.
The family is grateful to the staff at Anita’s Gardens of Grafton and Preceptor Home Health & Hospice for their care over the past few years; and to Mike Schramka and the Eernisse Funeral Home of Cedarburg.
Mass of Christian Burial 12:00 PM on Friday April 24, 2026, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church-North, 1375 Covered Bridge Rd in Cedarburg, with Military Honor to follow. Private family interment St. Francis Borgia Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday at the Church from 10:00 AM until time of Mass.
