Verona B. Krzeminski Mrs. Vern Krzeminski of Random Lake passed away with her two loving daughters at her side early Friday morning February 10 2006 at Gables on the Pond in Random Lake. She was 91 years old. Verona was born on June 11 1914 in Adell daughter of John and Olga Triebensee Habeck. She was united in marriage with John Krzeminski in Chicago IL on January 17 1934. The couple moved to the Random Lake area in 1942 and eventually built and operated The Midway Restaurant and later the Wisconsin-Aire Motel in the 1950's. They sold in 1975. John preceded her in death in 1977. Mrs. Krzeminski was a member of St. John's UCC in Random Lake and the St. John's Ladies Guild. She was a former volunteer at Pioneer Village enjoyed bowling golfing knitting and playing bridge with friends. While they ran the restaurant she did all of the cooking and much of the cleaning in the motel as well. She is survived by her two daughters Valerie (Donald) Gantner and Judi (Thomas) Schluechtermann both of Random Lake and a daughter-in-law Lois (the late Ronald) Krzeminski of San Mateo CA. She is further survived by 7 grandchildren: Craig (Anna) Gantner of Fergus Falls MN Cathie (Craig) Overmyer of River Forest IL Chris (Lisa) Gantner of Reading PA Paula Krzeminski and Paul (Mindy) Krzeminski both of San Mateo CA Staci and John Schluechtermann both of Random Lake 5 great-grandchildren: Timothy and Lauren Gantner both of Fergus Falls MN Kate Gantner of Reading PA Genevieve and Julia Verona Overmyer both of River Forest IL 1 sister Margaret Morrow of Salem OR 1 sister-in-law Verona Habeck of Cascade nieces nephews other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband 1 son Ronald and 1 brother Harvey Habeck. Funeral Services will be held on Monday February 13th 7PM at St. John's United Church of Christ corner of Random Lake Rd and 1st St. Random Lake Rev. Earl Kruse will officiate. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Union Cemetery Random Lake. The family will receive visitors at the church on Monday from 4-7PM. Memorials to the church are suggested in Vern's name.
