VERNON H. SCHINKER Mr. Vern Schinker of 7th Avenue in Grafton passed away at his home on Friday January 3 2014. He was 77 years old. Vernon was born in Sheboygan on February 12 1936 son of Henry and Margaret Claussen Schinker. He attended local schools and later served his country in the National Guard. On July 23 1955 Vern was united in marriage with Shirley Breuer at Advent Luthern Church in Cedarburg. The couple settled in Port Washington and later moved to Grafton in 1963. Mr. Schinker worked as a machinist at Kiekhaefer in Cedarburg until his retirement due to an accident. Vern was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church in Grafton as well as a longtime member and former president of the Saukville Gun Club. He enjoyed trap shooting and had also been a Hunter Safety Instructor for over 40 years. Mr. Schinker is survived by his wife Shirley and their children: Cheryl Schinker of Townsend Cindy (Loren) Foote of Littleton CO and David Schinker of Grafton. He is further survived by his granddaughter Angela Foote brother Ray Schinker of Wittenburg 2 sisters: Margaret Melinski of Sedona AZ and Mary Jane (Ronald) Dauss of Hubertus nieces nephews other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his son Keith Schinker and 2 brothers Roy and Matt Schinker. A Memorial Service will be held at 5PM on Wednesday January 8th at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1167 Washington Ave. Cedarburg. Pastor Paul Bulgerin will preside. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3-5PM. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Ozaukee Humane Society Grace Lutheran Church or charity of donors choice.
