VERNON F. HENDRICKSONMr. Vern Hendrickson formerly of Saukville passed away at Gables on the Pond in Random Lake Wednesday afternoon January 26 2011 just a few days past his 94th birthday.nbsp; Vernon was born in Minneapolis MN on January 24 1917 son of Carson and Laura Fischer Hendrickson.nbsp; The family moved to Milwaukee when Vern was a young child.nbsp; On June 29 1940 Vern was united in marriage with Erna Opitz.nbsp; The ceremony was held at the bridersquo;s home in Milwaukee.nbsp; The couple moved to Mequon and later to Saukville in 1976.nbsp; Erna preceded Vern in death in 1991.nbsp; Mr. Hendrickson was a tile setter for the bricklayers union.nbsp; He enjoyed his job as well as woodworking fishing gardening and playing cards in his spare time.nbsp; He also enjoyed taking trips and playing horseshoes.nbsp; Vern was a member of St. Johnrsquo;s Lutheran Church in Fredonia.nbsp; He is survived by his son Loren (Patricia) Hendrickson of Adell five grandchildren: Timothy David Diana Mark (Tammy) and Daniel (Joanna) and one great-granddaughter Mercedez Lynn Hendrickson.nbsp; He is further survived by his brother Carson (Arlene) Hendrickson Jr. of Milwaukee nieces nephews other relatives and friends.nbsp; He is preceded by his wife three brothers: Earl Myron and James as well as two sisters: Helen and Lucille.nbsp; Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday February 1st at St. Johnrsquo;s Lutheran Church 824 Fredonia Ave. in Fredonia.nbsp; Pastor Robert Zick will officiate.nbsp; Vernon will be laid to rest beside his wife in the church cemetery.nbsp; The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Tuesday from 10-11AM.nbsp; Memorials to St. Johnrsquo;s Lutheran Church are suggested.nbsp;nbsp;br /Service:br /pFuneral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday February 1stnbsp;at St. Johnrsquo;s Lutheran Church 824 Fredonia Ave. in Fredonia.spannbsp;/span/pbr /Cemetery:br /pSt. John\'s Cemetery Fredonia/p
