VERNELDA A. OLSON
Vernelda Olson passed away Friday, October 7, 2016 in Port Washington. The youngest and last surviving child of George and Mary (Vieau) Hansford, she married Raymond C. Olson in 1951. He preceded her in death in October 1988. Also preceding in death besides her parents are six sisters: Merceline (the late Wilfred) Trask, Mildred (the late William) Goeben, Edna (the late Rudolph) Brown, Grace (the late Ervin) Biskner, Aurelia Steinke and Alma (Felicien) Simon and by three brothers: Clifford (the late Emma) Hansford, Wilbert Hansford and Norbert (the late Laverne) Hansford. She is survived by one sister-in-law Ethel (the late Wilbert) Hansford. She is also survived by many nieces & nephews. She enjoyed being with family & friends, reading, going out for lunch or dinner, and playing her organ. She and her husband traveled a great deal, visiting Tahiti & Hawaii, motor-homing through Canada, the Western & Southern coasts and wintering in Brownsville and later Donna, TX. Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington, Rev. Ed Rafferty will preside. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Saturday from 10AM until 11AM. Vernelda will be laid to rest beside her husband at Fort Howard Cemetery, Green Bay.
