VALERIA C. BITTNER Mrs. Valeria Bittner of Port Washington formerly of Little Kohler in the Town of Fredonia passed away at Harbor Campus on Wednesday evening June 17 2015. She was 87 years old. Valeria was born October 20 1927 daughter of George Mary Leider Depies. She grew up in Random Lake and attended local schools graduating from Random Lake High School in the Class of 1945. She was united in marriage with Donald Bittner at St. Nicholas Catholic Church on July 1 1950. The couple farmed in Little Kohler and started their family. Mrs. Bittner had a large garden and enjoyed taking care of her family. In 1997 Don Valeria sold the farm and moved to a home they had built on Holden Street in Port Washington. Don preceded her in death in 2000. Mrs. Bittner was a member of St. Peter's of Alcantara Catholic Church and was an avid reader. She is survived by 4 sons: Daniel (Eileen) Bittner of Fredonia Alan Bittner of Oostburg Thomas and John Bittner both of Port Washington 4 daughters: Sandra (Elroy) Berres of Fredonia Sharon (William) Hagel of Random Lake Kathy and Patricia Bittner both of Port Washington as well as daughter-in-law Diane (the late Wayne) Bittner of Saukville. She is further survived by 14 grandchildren 14 great-grandchildren sisters-in-law Joan Depies of Fredonia Carol Depies of Random Lake brothers-in-law Wilfred Heinen of Port Washington and Mike Hubacek of Plymouth nieces nephews other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Don son Wayne grandson Jason TeSteroete brothers Jerome Bill (the late Jean) and Arnold Depies and sisters Ursula Heinen and Rita Hubacek. Funeral Services will be held at 11AM on Tuesday June 23rd at St. Peter or Alcantara Catholic Church 1800 N. Wisconsin Ave. Port Washington. Father Patrick Wendt will preside. Mrs. Bittner will be laid to rest beside her husband in St. Mary's Cemetery Port Washington. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Tuesday from 10-11AM. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
