Mr. Tom Witman of Saukville passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Lawlis Hospice Center in Mequon. He was 80 years old.
Thomas was born in Milwaukee on November 30, 1941, son of Joseph and Mary Paff Witman. While growing up, Tom spent time helping on a farm at the seminary in Sturtevant, where he developed a love of horses.
Tom worked for Portal Industries where he met his future wife, Sandy. The couple was married in Upper Lake Park in Port Washington on June 13, 1987. They settled in Port and later moved to Saukville in 2017. He enjoyed watching the Packers with his wife, and the couple frequently went camping. They loved going to Lazy Days Campground, where they often helped with anything that needed doing. Tom also was fond of snowmobiling.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Sandy, brother David (Mary) Witman of Brown Deer, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Alice Schaak and Theresa Chitwood, and brothers Steve, Erv and Chester Witman.
A Memorial Service will be held for Tom at 3PM on Sunday, March 13th, at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington. He will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Cemetery, Port Washington, following the service. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Sunday, March 13th beginning at 1PM until services begin at 3PM.
