June 5, 1938 – January 13, 2024
Thomas "Tom" D. Champeau of Saukville was called home on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the age of 85. He was born in Sturgeon Bay on June 5, 1938, to Oliver and Iva Champeau. Tom met the love of his life, Deanna Bootz, on a blind date and knew from that day he would marry her. The couple made it official on May 21, 1960, at Mother of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Together they had three children.
Tom's memory will remain in the hearts of his children Scott (Tracy) Champeau of Buford, GA, Renee Champeau of Port Washington and Michele Champeau of Port Washington; grandchildren Dylan, Paige, Hunter, Tucker, Caitlyn and Jonathan. Tom is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Deanna; siblings Betty Weidmann, Oliver "Buck", Mary Soyring, John "Jack", and Bonnie "Toots" Schroeder.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Tom in Port Washington this Spring, and he will be laid to rest next to his wife at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Sturgeon Bay, WI.
