Thomas R. Pautsch Thomas Pautsch of Cedarburg passed away unexpectedly at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee in the early morning hours of Friday March 28 2014. He was 82 years old. Tom was born in Milwaukee on May 28 1931 son of Roy and Adele Wichman Pautsch. He grew up in Milwaukee and attended Milwaukee State Teachers College (UWM) on a basketball scholarship graduating in 1953. On August 16 1952 he married Louise Madritsch in Milwaukee. After college he enlisted in the US Navy and served in the Korean Conflict. The couple settled in Milwaukee and in 1964 they moved their family to Cedarburg. Tom was a principal at Webster Middle School in Cedarburg for many years. He was a member of Advent Lutheran Church in Cedarburg a member of the Peter Wollner American Legion Post 288 in Cedarburg and a former member of the Cedarburg Fire Department. Tom is survived by his four children; Laura (Brian) Hale of Muskego Suzan (Randy) Thiel of Sheboygan Gregory Pautsch of Johnston IA and Bryan Pautsch of Cedarburg. He is further survived by nine grandchildren one great-grandchild his sister Janet (Ralph) Templeman of Wauwatosa nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Louise in 2011. In accordance with Tom's wishes private family services were held with inurnment at Zur Ruhe Cemetery Cedarburg.
