Thomas M. Mages of Fredonia was Born to Eternal Life on Thursday morning, June 27, 2019 at the age of 76. He was surrounded by his loving family when he passed. Tom was born in Milwaukee to Peter and Angie Mages on May 1, 1943. He married his wife Karen (nee Zanowski) of 55 years on May 30, 1964 and together they had four children. Tom served his country in the United States Marine Corp from 1961-1965 and was honorably discharged as a corporal. He retired from Miller Brewery after 30 years of dedicated service. Tom and his wife were residents of Mequon for 38 years. He gave back to his community by coaching little league football, baseball, softball, basketball and Homestead High School JV football. Tom was a Mequon-Thiensville Optimist. He was a passionate golfer and loved early morning rounds with his sons and his Tuesday afternoon Miller Golf League. Tom was survived by his devoted wife Karen, his children, Lynn (David) Wolski, David (Kristin) Mages, Jeffery (Debbie) Mages, TJ (special friend Kathy Bennett) Mages; grandchildren, Joshua (Samantha) Mages, Amanda (special friend Thor Elsing) Mages, Emily (special friend Stephen Janansky) Wolski, Alyssa (special friend Joel Rivett) Wolski, Jordan (fiancé Nick Fowler) Mages, Tyler Klippel; great-grandchildren, Jase and Lydia; brother, James (Kathy) Mages; Goddaughter and niece Nicole (Jamie) Kerwin. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Peter (Carol) Mages. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Divine Savior Catholic Parish – Holy Cross Chapel (5330 County Road B, Belgium, WI 53004) with Fr. Gideon Buya presiding. Visitation will be at the CHURCH from 9:00AM until the time of service. Tom will be laid to rest at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery in Fredonia.
