Obituary

Thomas N. Dieringer of Random Lake, WI, age 84, passed away peacefully at home on March 8, 2017. He was born to Thomas and Olive (nee Gremminger) on December 6, 1932 in Campbellsport, WI. Thomas married Barbara Breitzman on August 17, 1957 at St. John Lutheran Church in Port Washington, WI and together they had six children. Thomas was a local dairy farmer for over seventy years. He served on the Belgium Town Board and the Planning Commission. He was a long-time member of the National Farmers Organization and the Farmers Union. Tom enjoyed history, bowling, playing sheepshead, listening and dancing to polka music and reading. In addition to farming, he also owned and operated a milk hauling business for seventeen years. Tom served his country in the United States Army Corp from 1953-1955. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and supporting all of their activities. Tom will be deeply missed by his family. Tom's long-time wishes were to have his remains donated to the Medical College of Wisconsin. Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Barbara Dieringer of Random Lake, his children, Gary (Leann) Dieringer of Belgium, Thomas (Dee) Dieringer of Batavia, Jeffrey (Brenda) Dieringer of Dacada, Scott (Donna) Dieringer of Port Washington, Brian (Bonnie) Dieringer of Fredonia and Jodi (David) Mueller of Fredonia; brothers, Andrew (Audrey) Dieringer, James (Lynn) Dieringer; sisters , Phyllis Stemper and Betty Grant; brother-in-law, Larry Young; sister-in-law, Cheri Breitzman. He is further survived by 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Gregor Dieringer, Adolph (the late Jean) Dieringer, Francis "Butch" (the late Patricia) Dieringer; sisters, Olive Dieringer and Lucille (the late Don) Odekirk; brothers-in-law, Ed Stemper, Peter Grant, Bob Breitzman; sister-in-law, Lynn Young. A Celebration of Tom's Life will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Eernisse Funeral Home of Belgium (171 N. Royal Ave. Belgium, WI 53004) with Chaplain Bob Skjegstad presiding. Family will receive visitors on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00AM-2:00PM. The family would like to thank the staff of Sharon S. Richardson Hospice for all their care and support and to our family and friends for their thoughts and prayers.
