IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thomas C.
Biever
November 1, 1941 – July 22, 2025
Mr. Tom Biever of the Town of Fredonia passed away Tuesday evening, July 22, 2025, at Froedtert Lutheran Medical Center in Wauwatosa. He was 83 years old.
Thomas was born in Port Washington on November 1, 1941, the son of George and Lucille (nee Lauters) Biever. He grew up on the family dairy farm in the Town of Port and attended local schools.
On May 16, 1964, Tom was united in marriage with Elizabeth "Betty" Nennig at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Menomonee Falls. The couple lived in Fredonia next to St. Rose Catholic Church before acquiring their own farm in the Town of Fredonia. Together, they were blessed with four children.
Although he was a farmer at heart, Tom also worked at various foundries in the area and cast the large cross that graces the center of the St. Rose of Lima Cemetery grounds.
Tom had a talent for fixing things and was always ready for a challenge. He especially enjoyed restoring classic cars and was a member of the Kettle Moraine Model T Ford and Vintage Car Club for over 25 years. He participated in many parades and car shows and would never miss the Iola Car Show and swap meet. He also loved to restore antique tractors and attended many tractor shows where he was well known for his mechanical abilities. He loved nature, going for long walks outdoors and was an avid deer and turkey hunter. His monstrous laugh and fun-loving pranks will be missed by many.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Betty, their children Brenda Biever of Adell, Bridget (Dan) Smith of Random Lake, Thomas Biever, Jr., of Kaukauna, and Tim (Stacie) Biever of Grafton. Tom is further survived by three grandchildren: Eli, Liam, and Olivia, brother Jerry (Mary) Biever of the Town of Port, sisters Alice (Don) Krier of Oostburg, and Kathy (the late Dave) Pannier of North Carolina, sister-in-law Diane Biever of Port Washington, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Tom is preceded in death by his parents, brother Jake Biever, and sister Mary Lou (the late Gordon) Kapitz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11AM on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Our Lady of the Lakes – St. Mary's Chapel, 230 Butler St., Random Lake. Father Don Thimm will preside the Mass. The family will receive guests on Tuesday, July 29, at the Eernisse Funeral Home (1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington) from 5-7PM, and again on Wednesday, July 30th at the church from 10AM until Mass begins at 11AM. Tom will be laid to rest later that day at St. Rose Cemetery in Fredonia.
