Theodore J. Flierl, 85, a lifelong resident of Port Washington, WI passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening October 15, 2022 at his home.
He was born July 13, 1937 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin and was a 1955 graduate of Port Washington High School. He spent three years in the U.S. Army, followed by a career in purchasing at WH Brady, Simplicity Manufacturing, and Harley Davidson.
Theodore's greatest passion in life was music, and he was accomplished on both classical saxophone and piano. He was a member of many bands and had fond memories of playing with the 5th Army Band at Fort Sheridan. In his later years, Theodore shared his musical talents at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Newburg, where he was a parishioner. Along with his love of music, his greatest love was his family and grandchildren. He always took great pride in his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.
Theodore was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Isabelle Flierl. He is survived by Mary, his wife of 61 years, daughters Claire Flierl (Mark Panarusky) and Erika Flierl (Steve Paster), sons Karl (Kimberly) Flierl and Kurt (Kristin) Flierl, as well as seven grandchildren: Ivan and Erik Panarusky, Katerina and Alene Flierl, and Aaron, Evan, and Will Flierl. He is further survived by brothers William (the late Ann) Flierl and John (Pat) Flierl. Other family and friends.
A visitation will be held Saturday October 22, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM, at Holy Trinity Parish, 521 Congress Dr., Newburg, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice.
