Theodore Basting nbsp; Mr. Ted Basting of West Chestnut Street in Port Washington formerly of Milwaukee passed away unexpectedly early Friday December 5 2008 at Columbia St. Maryrsquo;s Hospital in Mequon. He was 58 years old. Ted was born January 22 1950 in Milwaukee the son of Theodore and Lucille Laumann Basting. He proudly served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam during the early 1970rsquo;s. Most recently he had worked as a Maintenance Manager at an apartment complex. Mr. Basting an avid Badger and Packer fan took an interest in astronomy enjoyed playing cribbage with his friends from his card clubs visiting with his nieces and nephews and playing softball. Ted was always willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need. He is survived by his two brothers Greg Basting of San Antonio TX and Nick Basting of Oshkosh. He is further survived by six nieces and nephews: Misti Steve Amy Valerie Damion and Tanya numerous great-nieces and great-nephews one aunt Louise (Bill) Schwartz of Darlington and one uncle Jack (Mary) Basting of Mineral Point dear cousin Donna Rikli of Mineral Point special friends Debbie amp; Steve Johnson of Hales Corners other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Lucille. Funeral services will be held at 10AM on Monday Dec. 8 at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Ave. in Port Washington. Ted will be laid to rest at Southern Wisconsin Veteranrsquo;s Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove with Full Military Honors.
