Terrence "Terry" R. Hogan, of Cedarburg, formerly from Lake Forest, Illinois, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Lasata Care Center. He was 72 years old.
Terry was born February 21, 1951, to the late Richard and Lorraine (Lehmann) Hogan in Elmhurst, Illinois. He graduated from Lake Forest High School with the class of 1969. After high school, he graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1975 with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
From a young age, he found his passion for football and displayed exceptional skills both in high school and during his college years. He was an ardent fan of the Chicago Bears, always ready to cheer for his team with enthusiasm and loyalty. On the green, he was an avid golfer, finding solace and camaraderie among friends and fellow enthusiasts.
He was known for his infectious smile, outgoing nature, and his nickname as the "Mayor of Lasata." His warm greetings and jokes made everyone feel special, creating a vibrant atmosphere wherever he went.
Music was Terry's passion, and he had a gift for both listening and making music. During his high school years, he was a member of a band and he continued to appreciate and enjoy various genres throughout his life.
Terry leaves behind his wife Marianne Hogan, his sons Kevin (Violette) Hogan their children Colin and Graham Hogan, his son Patrick (Lee) Hogan and their children Ben and Grace Hogan; his devoted sister Colleen Sipiora, his brother-in-law Bruce Sipiora, his beloved niece Katie (Joe) Sliwicki, his beloved nephews Matt (Lizz) Sipiora and Mark Sipiora, his great nieces Norah Sliwicki and Charlotte Sipiora and great nephew Jack Sliwicki; along with many other relatives, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his cousin Mary Beth Cheney.
The family would like to thank the staff at Lasata for the great care and compassion they have shown Terry over the 18 years he resided there. Special thanks to Cheryl Loughlin, his fantastic social worker, with whom Terry and his sister developed a close friendship with.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon on Friday, February 16th, in the chapel at Lasata Care Center, W76 N677 Wauwatosa Road, Cedarburg. The family will receive guests in the chapel on Friday, February 16th, from 10AM until the service begnins at noon. Terry will be laid to rest beside his parents in Lake Forest, IL.
