Obituary

TARMO Tom SALLI Tom Salli of South Colonial Parkway in Saukville a humble man with a loving heart and a laborer's hand died Friday June 1 at the age of 74 at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Mequon. He was born July 14 1932 in Kimball WI son of the late Gust and Olga Lehtola Salli Finish immigrant parents. On December 6 1952 he married Betty Tapanila in Ironwood MI. Tom worked for 25 years at Construction Forms in Cedarburg and also operated a concrete construction business. He was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Saukville and involved in the St. Peter's Brotherhood. Tom was an avid skier canoeist and history buff. Survivors include his wife Betty and seven children: Terry (Sheila) Salli of San Antonio TX Linda (Jim) Kolocek and Suzie (Walt) Rabus of Port Washington Brenda (Harry) Bernstein of Kaukana Karen Salli of Saukville Julie (Joseph) Post of Indian Trail NC and Annette (John) Foat of Saukville; 12 grandchildren one sister Fannie Wehmas of Saxon WI and three brothers; Waino (Elsie) Salli and Oiva (Rauha) Salli of Wakefield MI and Arne (Nancy) Salli of Wausau WI. He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. Memorial services will be held at 7:00 PM on June 7 at St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Saukville. Rev. Donald Ellerman will officiate. Memorials to St. Peter's United Church of Christ appreciated. There will be a gathering of family and friends at the church on June 7th from 5-7 PM.
