Suzanne E. Newman Mrs. Suzanne Newman, of Random Lake, formerly of Edina, MN, passed away in the afternoon hours of Monday, September 14, 2020 at Gables on the Pond in Random Lake where she had been a resident. She was 72 years old. Sue was born on March 15, 1948 daughter of Jacob Watry and Margaret Lesch Watry. She grew up in the Town of Belgium, attending school in Dacada and Random Lake High School, graduating with the class of 1966. After high school, Sue attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and earned a bachelor's degree in education. She taught for over five years, then became a property manager for an apartment building. On June 26, 1971 she married Timothy Newman. He preceded her in death. Sue is survived by her sisters Rosemary Pozy, Mildred Lanser, Catherine Kearn, and Ginny (Dick) Junge, numerous nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, other relatives, and many friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Timothy, her parents Jacob and Margaret Watry, her siblings and their spouses: Agnes (Clarence) Egerer, Eugene (Dolores), Richard (Kathryn), Robert, Walter (Marilyn), Dolores (Roy) Tock, Ralph, Elaine (Ervin) Karrels, Monica (Jim) Schultz, Janet (Tom) Hogan, Janice (Don) Phillips, and brothers-in-laws John Lanser and Frank Pozy. In accordance with her wishes, private family services will be held. She will be laid to rest at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Dacada. Thank you to the caring staff at the Gables on the Pond. They cared for Suzanne with such gentleness and obvious love. A special thank you to Preceptor Home Health Care services. Their hospice people are amazing and comforting. We are so grateful.
