SUSAN E. PETAJAN Mrs. Susan Petajan of East Pier Street in Port Washington passed away at Columbia - St. Mary's Ozaukee Campus in Mequon on Saturday afternoon July 7 2007. She was 64 years old. Susan was born in Milwaukee on January 22 1943 daughter of Norman F. and Genevieve Larsen Rom. After graduating from high school in Wauwatosa she attended Northwestern University School of Music graduating with her BA in Music. Susan was united in marriage with Albert Petajan in 1966 in Illinois. Mrs. Petajan was a music and choir director for numerous schools most notably the former Milwaukee County Alternative School. She taught piano from her home for 15 years and always enjoyed her students. Susan had also been a successful realtor in the southeastern Wisconsin area. Mrs. Petajan was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church and an active member and former Secretary of the Port Washington Yacht Club. She enjoyed sailing especially on the Morningstar traveling to Norway and other destinations with her cousin Judy Campbell teaching piano and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Susan was a dedicated mother for her sons and strong advocate for Andrew who is deaf. She is survived by her children: Kevin (Adrienne Olson) Petajan of Bay View and Andrew Petajan of Washington DC grandchildren Isabella and Charles Petajan of Bay View her father Norman (the late Genevieve) Rom of Brookfield and brother Paul (Helen) Rom of Glen Ellyn IL. She is further survived by Albert (Sylvia) Petajan of Kewaunee Brandon Kufalk of Madison cousins other relatives former piano students and her faithful companion Lizzie. Memorial Service will be held for Susan at 12 noon on Saturday July 14th at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Ave. Port Washington.
