Obituary

Mrs. Susie Kultgen of the Town of Port Washington passed away Wednesday evening, June 3, 2020 at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton following an unexpected health issue. She was 74 years old. Susan was born in Duluth, MN on January 4, 1946, daughter of Elmer and Lois Doering Jackson. She attended local schools, graduating from Duluth Cathedral (presently Marshall School) in 1964. She later continued her education at MATC. On September 5, 1970, Susie was united in marriage with Richard Kultgen at St. Jean-Baptiste Catholic Church in Duluth. The couple settled in the Town of Port Washington and began their family. Besides working on the family farm, Mrs. Kultgen was employed by Allen Edmunds in the Customer Service Department for 27 years, retiring in 2011. She liked reading, cooking, baking and enjoyed celebrating holidays with her family. Susie loved to buy presents and cards to send to friends and family, often when they least expected it. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren, watching them grow, listening to their thoughts and opinions, and laughing at their antics. Mrs. Kultgen was a former member of St. Peter's of Alcantara Catholic Church and was a former volunteer at Milan Estates in Saukville. Her cheer and spark will be missed by many. Susie is survived by her husband, Richard, and their three children: Sara (Jeff) Robinson of Port Washington, Stacy Eibs of the Town of Port Washington and David (Angie) Kultgen of Milwaukee. She is also survived by three grandchildren: J.J., Andy and Karissa Eibs, and feline friends Pumpkin and Vinny. Further survived by sister Jackie Huybers (special friend Mike Hess) of Port Washington, sister-in-law Mary Jackson of Duluth, sister-in-law Diane (Harold) Tackes of Waubeka, and Raymond (Gerry) Kultgen of Port Washington, and numerous nephews and nieces, other family and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Lois, brother Michael "Mick" Jackson, nieces Trish Jackson and Andrea (Jackson) Benson, sisters-in-laws Darlene (Joe) Schuessler and Marilyn (Dennis) Zefran. Private family services were held. She will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Cemetery in Port Washington. The Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington is assisting the family with arrangements; online condolences may be left at www.eernissefuneralhome.com .
