Stephen Rammes of Port Washington, WI, formerly of East Peoria, IL, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 in Mequon, Wisconsin.

Steve was born on June 13, 1952 in Peoria, IL to Fred Allen Rammes and Beverly Joan (Fuller) Rammes. He married his high school sweetheart, Becky Bass, on January 8, 1971 in East Peoria, IL.

Along with his wife, he is survived by one brother, Jeffrey Rammes, of Colorado Springs, CO. Also surviving are his three sons, Brad (Stephanie) Rammes of Washington Township, OH, Matthew (Amanda) Rammes of Sheboygan, WI and Benjamin Rammes of Grafton, WI. He was so proud to be the grandpa to his four grandchildren Liam, Kate, Chase and Sawyer Rammes. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lynda Hight.

Steve worked along with his father as owner/operator of Singer's Jewelry Store in Peoria. In 1986, he went to work for Zales Jewelers.

He was a big outdoorsman. He loved duck hunting on the Illinois River and in Bath, IL. He also loved to fish, especially charter fishing on Lake Michigan.

His family would like to thank his caregivers at Grafton Medical Center and Lawlis Hospice for his care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association. There will be no service at this time.
