Obituary

Mr. Stephen Frank of Random Lake, formerly of Milwaukee and Cedar Grove, passed away at his home on Friday, July 13, 2018, following a valiant battle with cancer. He was 64 years old. Stephen was born in Milwaukee on December 22, 1953, son of Steve A. and Nellie (nee Harvey) Frank. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served until 1978. Mr. Frank took a position with Stainless Foundry and Engineering in Milwaukee, where he remained for 43 years. Most recently he had been a melt supervisor. On October 26, 2001, Stephen was united in marriage with Vickie (nee Paulson) in Sheboygan. The couple settled in Cedar Grove and moved to the Random Lake area in 2013. Mr. Frank enjoyed woodworking in his basement shop, often making projects for family and friends. Most recently he had made wooden signs and plaques that were personalized. He was quite handy, and liked helping with building projects including plumbing and electrical, but not painting! When he wasn't riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, he might be found fishing on local lakes, playing around on the computer, or playing a song on the keyboard. Occasionally he would try his luck on slots at the casino, and was always lucky if he went on his mother's birthday. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Stephen is survived by his wife, Vickie, and their five children: Russell (Jenni) Frank of Kewaskum, Joseph (Carey) Frank of West Allis, Amanda (Paul) Porter of West Bend, Donavan Schmitt of San Diego, CA and Jordyn Andersen of Fredonia. He is further survived by six grandchildren, brother Ed Frank of Pembine, sister Karen (the late Earl "Skip") Koedinger of St. Francis, other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Linda Frank. A Gathering of Remembrance will be held on Monday, July 23rd, at the Eernisse Funeral Home in Belgium (171 N. Royal Ave.) from 4-7PM, followed by Military Honors at 7PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the US Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign, or to the family. Online condolences may be left at www.eernissefuneralhome.com .
