Stacy Schmitz, of Racine, formerly of Fredonia, passed away unexpectedly at her home in the morning hours of Tuesday, September 18, 2018. She was 28 years old. Stacy was born in Milwaukee on May 16, 1990, daughter of David Schmitz and Ramona Veldre Schmitz. Stacy grew up in Fredonia and attended Random Lake High School. She enjoyed swimming, picnicking with her family, canoeing and traveling. She will be missed by her parents David and Ramona Schmitz of Fredonia. She was a loving mother to her children Maya Schmitz and Jayden Gain, a dear sister to Andrew and Samuel Schmitz both of Cedarburg, and Edward Schmitz of OR. She is further survived by her boyfriend Jon Gain of Racine, grandparents James and Jeanette Schmitz of Bay View, "in-laws" Kirk and Leslie Gain of Racine, and other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her grandmother Valda Veldre. In accordance to Stacy's wishes, private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are suggested.
