Mr. Spencer DuFour of Belgium passed away at Cedar Springs Nursing Home in Cedarburg Wednesday morning, August 15, 2018, at the age of 78. Spence was born in Escanaba, MI on October 25, 1939, son of Joseph and Leola Kendall DuFour. The family moved to Milwaukee when he was a child and he attended local schools, graduating from Custer High School, Class of 1958.
On August 12, 1961 he was united in marriage with Virginia Naparella in Princeton, WI. The couple settled in Milwaukee where Spence became an agent for American Family Insurance. In 1966 their family moved to Port Washington, and later moved to their home in Belgium in 1997.
In his younger days, Spence played basketball and softball, but he had always been passionate about golf. He enjoyed playing any course, but his favorite was Hawthorne Hills. Mr. DuFour also enjoyed a good card game, especially cribbage.
Survivors include his wife Virginia and son Randy, both of Belgium, grandchildren Ezra & Emma DuFour of Kewaskum and Miranda DuFour of Sheboygan Falls, daughter-in-law Tammy DuFour of Kewaskum and former daughter-in-law Deb DuFour of Sheboygan Falls. He is further survived by sister Sharon (Jerry) Adelmeyer of Waukesha, sisters-in-law Judy DuFour of Middleton and Kathy DuFour of Sheboygan, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his son Rick DuFour, brothers Bill and Tim DuFour, and his parents Joseph and Leola.
