Sonja C. Wendorf, of Cedarburg, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Hamilton House. She was 93 years old.

She was born October 9,1930 to the late Jacob and Lena (Heise) Ross in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She graduated from Milwaukee Lutheran High School with the class of 1947. She had been a proud resident of Mequon since 1964.

On June 26, 1950, she was united in marriage to Keith Wendorf in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They spent over 40 years together. He preceded her in death in 1994. Together they explored the world. They embarked on many journeys together, from couples' cruises to the many wonders of the world.

When the two of them were not traveling you could find Sonja at a theater play with her girlfriends. She was a member of the Mequon Women's Club. Volunteering at the Mequon library was something she enjoyed doing. If there was a family party, you could always find her famous potato salad or Grandma Jello.

She will be greatly missed by her son Clifford (Cindy) Wendorf and her daughter Karen Ann (Alan) Wyckoff; granddaughters, Courtney (Ryan) Vecitis, Christine (David) Pentek and Danielle (James) Atlee; her grandson, Joel Wyckoff; six great grandchildren; her brother John (Karolynn) Ross, along with many other nieces, nephews' other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband Keith.

In honor of Sonja's wishes a private family service will be held. She will be laid to rest next to her Husband at Graceland cemetery.
