Sidonia A. Burmesch Sidonia Burmesch age 95 of the Town of Belgium passed away on Tuesday May 10 2011 at Cedar Springs Health Rehab Center in Cedarburg surrounded by her loving family. Sidonia was born in the Town of Belgium on September 22 1915 daughter of Albert and Katherine Pirrung Strauss. On December 29 1945 she married Clarence Burmesch in Milwaukee. The couple moved to their Town of Belgium home which was above their cheese factory. They worked side-by-side in the cheese factory until it closed. Mrs. Burmesch also worked as an assembler at Scott Pump in Cedarburg retiring in 1980. She was a member of Holy Rosary Parish and the Christian Women. Sidonia's family was her hobby but she did also find time to enjoy bowling gardening cooking and canning. She is survived by her four children; Angie (Gary) Desotelle of Saukville Albert Burmesch James (Mary) Burmesch and Peter (Ellie) Burmesch all of Port Washington. She is further survived by three grandchildren Justin (Heather) Burmesch Andrew (Eve) Burmesch and Beth Petersen and two great-grandchildren Jessica Petersen and Hailei Paulus nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her husband her daughter Katherine Burmesch 4 brothers and 4 sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday May 13th at 7 PM at Holy Rosary Parish - Holy Cross Chapel with father Dick Fleischman officiating. She will be laid to rest with her husband Clarence and her daughter Katherine in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Friday May 13th from 4-7 PM.
