IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Shirley Mae
Reynolds
December 9, 1930 – April 14, 2024
Shirley Mae Reynolds, of the Town of Fredonia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 14, 2024, at Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon. She was 93 years old.
Shirley was born on December 9, 1930, in Appleton, Wisconsin to the late James and Esther (Hoppe) Smith. She graduated from Appleton High School, she then moved to Washington, DC to work at the Pentagon. Where she met Robert while he was in the US Navy. They were married on March 7, 1953.
She had a profound passion for classical music, often frequenting the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra concerts where she would be transported into a world of beauty and harmony. Shirley also found solace in her garden, tending to the vibrant flowers and lush greenery with tender care.
Her favorite spot in the house was the sunroom, where she would spend countless hours listening to the melodies of chirping birds and admiring Joseph's magnificent white Lilac tree. This serene sanctuary brought her immense peace and comfort, allowing her to connect with nature in a heartfelt way.
She is survived by her daughter Jill Damrow, her grandchildren, Emily and Aaron and her great grandson Harley.
She is preceded in death by her former husband Robert, her children, Richard and Jonathan, her grandson Joseph and her son-in-law, Jerry Damrow.
The family would like to thank the staff at Horizon Hospice for their great care and compassion during moms' final days. Along with the unwavering care from Dr. Eoin Gorman and Dr. Talal Khairi throughout the years.
Special prayers of thanksgiving and remembrance will be offered with worship on Sunday April 28, 2024, at 9:00am at St. Simon The Fisherman Episcopal Church, 3448 Green Bay Road, Port Washington Wisconsin.
