Obituary

Shirley J. Krier Mrs. Shirley Krier (nee Nachtrab) formerly of Plymouth and Random Lake passed away in the early evening hours on Thursday November 13 2008 at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center in Plymouth where she had resided for the last few months. She was 84 years old. nbsp;Shirley was born on March 27th 1924 in Milwaukee the daughter of Herbert and Ruby Stout Nachtrab. Her mother died when she was two years old and Shirley and her brother Bob lived with numerous relatives until their father Herbert married Jean Baronowski in 1930. Living in Milwaukee Shirley attended Fernwood Elementary and St. Maryrsquo;s Academy. Later Mrs. Krier attended Business College before entering the US Navy in 1944. She proudly served her country from 1944 until 1946 as a Pharmacist's Mate.nbsp; In 1946 Shirley met her future husband George Krier. They were married on December 27th of the following year at Immaculate Conception Church in Milwaukee and eventually made their home in Random Lake. After her husbandrsquo;s death in 1969 Shirley worked for Krier Foods in Belgium and Video City in Random Lake retiring in 1999. Mrs. Krier was a loving mother grandmother sister and friend. She enjoyed reading music fishing mysteries the family pets doing crossword puzzles and watching moves. She had a sharp wit and will be greatly missed by those who knew her. Shirley is survived by her two sons Christopher (Kay) Krier of Random Lake and Herbert (Sandra) Krier of Sherman Center. She is further survived by 6 grandchildren: Ben Jessica Samuel Lorna Thomas and Daniel; one brother Herbert (Kay) of Framingham MA one sister-in-law Doris Nachtrab of Milwaukee other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents and husband Shirley was preceded in death by her brother Robert and brothers-in-laws Eugene (Helen) Krier and Rolland (Marie) Krier. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1PM on Saturday November 22 2008 at Our Lady of the Lakes St. Maryrsquo;s Chapel in Random Lake. Father Richard Cerpich will officiatenbsp; The family will receive visitors at the church on Saturday from noon until services at 1PM. Shirley will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. Mary Parish Cemetery in Lake Church. nbsp;In lieu of flowers memorials suggested to Random Lake area Food Pantry or the Lakeview Community Library in Random Lake. The Eernisse Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
