Born on March 13, 1950, in Neenah, to Clarence and Elsibay (Zarnoth) Metzger, Sharon touched the lives of many through her warm and nurturing spirit.
On August 4, 1973, she married the love of her life, James "Jim" Skelton.
Sharon's life was one filled with love, joy, and a deep sense of care for others. She found immense fulfillment in her career as a childcare worker at the Community Learning Center in Port Washington, where she dedicated over 21 years of service. Sharon had a special ability to connect with children and was instrumental in shaping their early years with her kindness and guidance.
Outside of her professional life, Sharon found solace and happiness in life's simple pleasures. Reading a good book, tending to her beautiful garden, and embarking on adventures to new destinations were some of her favorite pastimes. However, her heart truly came alive when she was surrounded by her cherished grandchildren. Their laughter and presence brought her immense joy and filled her days with love and contentment.
Sharon's legacy will live on through her devoted husband of fifty years, Jim, and their three children: Amanda (Michael) Cain, Michele Skelton, and Ryan (Holly) Skelton. She is further survived by her three loving grandchildren: Gavin, Wesley, and Holden, her brother Randy Metzger, other relatives, and many friends. As a family, they shared countless memories and laughter, supporting one another through life's highs and lows.
