Sharon "Sherri" M. Roell Sherri Roell, of the Town of Grafton, passed away in the morning hours of Tuesday, March 8th, 2016 at Aurora Medical Center in West Allis. She was 69 years old. Sherri was born in Milwaukee on July 27th, 1946, daughter of Howard Turk and Donna Wilmont Turk. She grew up in Port Washington, graduating from Port Washington High School in 1965. On December 4th, 1965 she married Wayne Roell in Saukville. Sherri held a number of jobs which leveraged her creative abilities, including becoming a cosmetologist. She co-founded and co-owned the salon, Hair Profilers in Cedarburg, until her retirement in 2007. Her most treasured roles in life were wife, mom, and grandma. As those who knew her could attest, she was a very proud grandma and loved to share stories about her "grandbabies," their interests, activities and accomplishments. She adored quilting, knitting, line dancing with her husband, good food and drink, cooking, gardening, traveling, reading, country music, and card playing. Sherri had the pleasure of living in the same home and neighborhood for 44 years. During that time she treasured the friendship and support of many special neighbors of all ages. Sherri cherished the love of her nephew, Tony Schommer. Sherri is survived by her husband Wayne of the Town of Grafton, her two daughters Diana Jacobson of Shorewood and Traci (Neil) Sternweis of Waupaca. She is further survived by five grandchildren: Cara, Emily and Allison Jacobson and Bruce and James "JP" Sternweis, her father Howard Turk of Red Granite, two sisters Darlene (Dan) Schommer of Fredonia and Peggy Husting of Grafton, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her mother Donna. Sherri's immediate family welcomes extended family and friends for a time of gathering on Saturday, March 19th from 1-2 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave., Cedarburg. A Celebration of Sherri's life will take place at 2 PM at the Funeral Home and be followed by an "Irish Wake" (in accordance with Sherri's wishes). Pastor Ed Rafferty will preside over the Celebration. The family suggests memorials to The National Kidney Foundation (www.kidney.org).
