Obituary

Koch Sharon (Nee Kircher) Born to eternal life on December 19th 2011 at the age of 72. On November 29th 1958 she married the love of her life Ervin Koch at Mother of Good Council Church in Milwaukee WI. Cherished mother of Debbie (Jack) Klinger Darrell (Kim) Dan David (Debbie) Dean (Sheila). Daughter of the late Alvin and Claire Kircher. Loving sister of Jean Bennett and Bernadette Johnson. Preceded in death by brother Kenneth. Sister in law to Lois Wawrzyn Gary Gordon and Donald Koch and the late Joseph Koch. Precious Grandmother to Kurtis Kenny Kristina and Kyle Klinger; PFC Derek Koch Dillan and Dana Koch; Abby Matthew and little baby angel Josephine Koch. Loved and respected by her many relatives and friends. Sharon's Catholic faith was her life. Her love for the Lord and devotion to the Blessed Mother was an inspiration to all who knew her and it made many people seek Christ themselves. Sharon loved traveling to religious sites and shrines across the U.S. but her pilgrimages to Medjugorie and Rome were at the top of her list. She was a member of many religious groups and charities such as: The Padre Pio Prayer Group the Holy Hill Cenacle and was a former member of The Christ Child Society. In addition she coordinated the St. Mary's Lake Church St. Vincent De Paul food pantry volunteered at the Marion Center in Milwaukee and made rosaries for Our Lady's Rosary Makers. Sharon was a regular viewer and supporter of the Catholic network EWTN. A 1958 graduate of Divine Savior Holy Angles H.S. Sharon had many other personal activities that she enjoyed. Horseback riding was one of her favorites. She was a Master Gardener of Ozaukee County and volunteered for the Yard and Garden Line. There wasn't a neglected plant that she couldn't nurse back to health. An avid gardener Sharon grew all of her own flowers vegetables and herbs which she routinely shared with family friends and numerous charities. Sharon enjoyed drawing up landscape designs and turned her yard into a park like setting. She also enjoyed the outdoors and watching all of God's creations in action. Sharon worked along side her husband Erv for many years at their family business Hopkins Dry Cleaners. In 1994 she and her son Dean started the Mail Boxes Etc. franchise in Mequon which later became The UPS Store. Erv and Sharon were supporting members of two churches St. Mary's Lake Church (Belgium area) and St. Francis Borgia in Cedarburg and want to share Sharon's life with both communities. A special thanks to the nurses of VITAS Home Hospice for their compassionate care. Visitation will be held at Eernisse Funeral Home171 N. Royal Ave. Belgium (Hwy LL Park St.) from 4-7PM on Thursday 12/22. A second visitation will be held on Friday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St Francis Borgia Catholic Church 1375 Covered Bridge Road in Cedarburg. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following the visitation at 11AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Milwaukee. In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorials to EWTN or St. Francis de Sales Seminary in Sharon's name.
